AP Literature and Essays

I am not as worried on the Multiple choice because I can always practice like crazy, but I am worried on Essays through out my life I'd have to say essay writing has never been my strong point (along with my terrible handwriting) English is an interesting class but its safe to say it's one of my least favored class.

What I'm asking for is any recommendations or tips at all for essay writing I'm currently working on the Barrons ap lit book, I've seen the student essays and find them amazing. I understand what to write about but nothing comes out on to my paper, clearly or with any focus..

In the first two essays, be sure to do rhetorical analysis–very dense paragraphs with literary terms and plenty of quotations to support them. Organization is important, but density is more important–if you stack enough observations and link them all to your thesis, you should be fine.

The third essay, of course, cannot involve rhetorical analysis (you won’t have the novel in front of you!). All you need to do is AVOID SUMMARIZING. The easy way to do so is to make sure that every detail from the novel is explicitly linked to your thesis and the prompt. It’s the easiest essay.
