AP macroecon

hey guys, i have been self-studying, well rather attempting to study macroeconomics. I am using the 'Cracking the AP economics macro and micro exams' by princeton review (only studyin macro though) anyways it feels like this book alone seems to be missing lots of info and i assume not many ppl just study from this book w/o some official txbook. I have about 20 or so pages left till i finish the macro section and not counting the shyt which i didnt completely understand prior. My question to any1 taking the macro exam is what are or will u do to prep for it from this point on? Hopefully ppl who have/are self studying from the same book will respond.

thx in advance-

i'm using that book and that book only

how u think it's going? Do u feel it would be enough for you to get a 4 or 5?

The Princeton Review is enough to get a 5. My brother is using it (I'm using Kaplan). We are both in AP Macro/Micro. Our class hardly ever uses the textbook and quite frankly there is no need to. There are plenty of people on this board who have just used the PR and scored a 5. Don't worry...you'll be fine (as long as you understand everything). If you don't understand something check out another review book, borrow a textbook from the library (our class uses The Economy Today), or ask on the boards.

As for how I'm studying...I'm just reading the review book and taking notes/making flashcards. My situation is bit different since I'm taking the class and not self-studying though. Good luck.

I have started studying yet

buahahahah

I'm taking 7 AP tests and let me tell you I have done nothing all year..

The only tests I'm positive that I can pass with 4-5 at this point is Human Geo, USH, and Lang and Comp..

Bio, Stats, and both econs are up in the air for me.. I bought the kaplan review book earlier this year, but I haven't opened it. I have access to the APEX review for Econ, should I go Kaplan + Apex or PR + Apex?

Oh I'm also self study..

I'm taking 9, including bio chem and physics c (all self study).

Haven't started on any of them.

I've been reading Principles of Economics by N Gregory Mankiw to self-study micro (and my macro class uses this as well). His writing style is very clear, although you'll have to read quite a bit more than just the 70 or so pages that PR covers it in.

I also have PR and Barron's, but planning on using them more for review after actually reading and learning it from the textbook...although I'm sure you could learn enough by just cramming with PR to get a 4 or 5 (just don't expect to retain much of that information, haha, cramming never really works for that).

I took 6 tests last year and crammed all of them.. came out with only one 3 rest were 4's / 5's.. I remember absolutely nothing and it showed on my SATII WH over the winter where I scored a 660.. and I had a 5 on WH and 4 on EURO.. I couldn't remember anything on the satII test.
