AP Math Credit

Hi everybody :)

I know this question has been asked a few times, but I just wanted more clarification.

I got a 5 on the AP Calc BC test, which gives me credit for two quarters of calculus, and I have one quarter left to take. One academic advisor told me that AP credit doesn't matter for math because it is not required for admission, it is only required for the MCAT. However, I saw that Davis requires math. Does my third quarter of math satisfy the requirement? Or do I have to take two additional quarters?

Also, I saw that Davis requires lower division biology (as well as upper division, of course) which I also already have credit from the AP Biology test, and Davis does not accept AP credit. Would I need to retake lower division biology even though I can take upper division bio?

Thank you for your help. :)

Here ya go. Yes. You have to retake. UC Davis does not accept AP credit for prerequisites and a year of lower division bio is a pre-req as is 1/2 a year of upper-division bio. You need one year of college math of which stats can be part. Note that bio-chem is dang near a pre-req, too.

I remembered that UC Davis has a more stringent set of requirements than most.

Thank you. That was very helpful :]
