<p>so i realize its a little early to be thinking about senior year classes already....but i want to be prepared for when we make our schedules. currently I am debating whether i should take an Ap science or Ap math. they are my two worst subjects(although I am better at life sciences). originally I wasn't considering taking either but I have people telling me I should. if I were to take an Ap math I would take stats, which my friends tells me the teacher assigns work that isn't much harder than the normal stats class. If i would take a science I would chooses between Ap Enviro or Ap Bio. I am decent in biology but I also don't know if I am willing to do all the reading. I would hands down choose enviro but I heard that it only counts as a one semester credit in college? I am taking three rigorous Ap classes this year (junior) and already know I am definitely going to take two next year(Ap lit and Gov). I don't know if this is important but I am considering majoring in either Psychology/minoring in art to become an art therapist. Or possibly a graphic designer. English is also an interest of mine These are very loose decisions at the moment as I honestly am not positive on either one. Advice? </p>
<p>Most of the classes you’ve named are on the easier side. Do you want to take AP classes for college credit or for impressing adcoms?</p>
<p>If it’s for college credit, just pick the ones you want to. Easy ones are fine.</p>
<p>If it’s also for impressing adcoms, you’ll want to take a harder class, i.e AP Calculus, AP Physics, AP Chem. </p>

<p>Why not just take AP Psych and AP Studio? Honestly, I don’t see the sense in taking APs that you find difficult and/or do not relate to your desired major/career, unless you are planning to apply to top schools. </p>
<p>It maybe early, but it is always a good idea to research how AP credits will transfer over at your prospective colleges. You don’t want to be stuck in a situation where you earn a four or five on the exam and your school has you retake the course! Also, think of it this way… if you are not good at Stats/Environmental/Bio, you’ll struggle in the class and it’ll be harder to achieve a passing score on the exam. You’ll need a math and science requirement, but there are usually certain subject requirements relating to your major. For example, you can take stats as your one math class if needed, but for psychology, you may need calculus, but if you took stats, you’d have to take calculus anyway. The required curriculums are usually online and can help you decide on the classes you should be taking if you want to earn credit.</p>
<p>If you want to take Environmental, you can but I would see if the prospective colleges offer it. It also maybe a one credit elective rather than a 3-4 credit course, which would be needed to fulfill a science requirement. I think bio is the better choice out of the two, but you don’t need it for your major. </p>

<p>Thankyou for your response! Im probably just going to take normal math and science courses next year. I am already taking Ap Psych this year and my school doesn’t offer Ap studio, unfortunately. I honestly have no real idea of what i want to do other than something creative, and yea math and science won’t help me there!
And I’m not planning on going to any super rigorous school as I want to attend a Christian college.</p>
