<p>I think you have to get all 4's and 5's so you dont qualify.</p>

<p>no, ap scholar with distinction is at least 5 tests of 3 or more each and an average of 3.5 so it looks like you qualify :)</p>

<p>Right now 23/30 on 6 tests</p>

<p>Next year say you get 5s on all of them-----48/55---> 48/11= 4.36363636.....AP National Scholar</p>

<p>Say you get all 4s----43/55----> 43/11= 3.9....no national scholar</p>

<p>Say 3 5s and 2 4s.......46/55----> 46/11= 4.18...National SCholar</p>

<p>Thats all great you guys but you are all forgetting one HUGE problem.....even if he does manage to become a national AP scholar, it won't matter at all seeing that he would have already been accepted or rejected to colleges long before he recieves his senior year AP scores. SORRY</p>

<p>So... how could anyone be recognized by colleges as a national AP scholar. You would have to take lots of AP's as a sophmore?? That's not fair!</p>

<p>The only way to have the National AP Scholar award on your college apps is to get it based on junior year AP Scores. Last year, there were 380-something rising-seniors who got the award.</p>

<p>Does the Calculus AB exam count towards these AP awards or does it just count as a subscore of the Calculus BC exam?</p>

<p>If you take only the AB exam, then it counts.
If you take the BC exam, then the BC score counts but the AB subscore does not.</p>

<p>Does anyone know when the college board notifies you of your award (or when the certificate comes?) Is it around October?</p>
