AP National scholar

Calc AB is a normal AP class, so there's no reason it wouldn't count. The only thing the CB site says is "The Calculus AB subscore ... [is] not used in the Scholar Award calculations."

GodlySic, the AP scholar designation on your score report is from last year. You won't get official notification of your National AP Scholar award until October.

Why can't they just send out the notifications now instead of October? CB is so lazy sometimes.

ok sweet as long as i get something tangebile before applications are due

thanks

I took Phys B and both Phys C. Would this count as 3, 2 or 1 AP?

my school only lets us take one AP soph year.. that totally sux.. then id have to take 7 APs in my junior year to ap national.. which is not happening.. arg..

so how prestigious is this award?

i don't think its that prestigious. I know a rising senior who got it, but then he got denied at his top choice schools and ended up going to some 2nd of 3rd tier school, can't remember what school though

pyroclastic,

I think they are counted as 3 AP.

It appears that AP National Scholar is based cumulatively - i.e. all exams taken in all years added up.

What about AP State Scholar? Is that based on scores in one single year or in all years combined?

I think its for all years combined.

:)
