AP Physics + AP Chem

Hey, my school just started class registration for next year. I am a junior right now, and I was wondering if it would be wayy too harsh to take both AP Physics and AP Chem at the same time, during my senior year. This year I had to take Precalc+Stat, and European History+US History due to scheduling conflicts. Anyways, would it be manageable to take both at the same time? I have no background in physics, and took a summer chem course offered at my school over a month.

I am doing that, and I'll be a senior next year as well. I'm also taking ap calc ab, ap us gov, ap spanish 5, and ap english lit. What physics is yours? Mine is both the C physics (mechanics and eletricity and magnetism)

btw I have no physics background either (but it's not a pre-requisite at my school) and I took reg. chemistry (required to take ap chem the next year).

It's definitely manageable. I'm taking IB Biology, IB Chemistry, and AP Physics C this year, and I've never had physics before. Just be sure to manage your time wisely. I don't know which physics you meant (B or C),chochocho, but I wouldn't advise taking Physics C and Calculus in the same year unless you're a really good math student. Go with Physics B if you want a broad, non calc-based intro to physics.

thx guys, it's Physics B, and I'll also be taking Calc next year. Hehe thx for the advice!

by the way, how much time on average do you spend on your AP Chem and AP Physics classes per day?

AP Chem- Not much homework (about 30 minutes a day). Mostly lab reports with occasional book work.

AP Physics- About 1 hour a day (homework isn't hard, just LONG). Mostly teacher-made worksheets and old AP problems; we don't use a textbook.

I really should be doing my physics homework right now. :o

it all depends on ur teacher

for me:

AP CHEM- A LOT of HW, lab reports are ridiculously long...hard tests, class grades are a standard bell curve.

AP PHYSC- HW, 30 mins or more of it, but I never do it because I find the class at my school is a joke. It is barely close to AP level physics.
