AP Physics B discussion

Yeah, my techer mentioned E= mc^2 but we never really went over it. He just said know this.

IM in the chat.

where? is it a private chat?

****ing impossible

lol x 1000

shoot i heard that the exam will be out of 160, instead of the 180. it makes sense cause the 7 fr questions added up to 80 points. So will this 20 pt drop from 180 to 160 make it even harder to get a 5 or 4? What do u think i would need to get a 4 out of 160? i really need a 4!

7 absolutely baffled me. The rest was ok, I was lost all year but I feel confident that I'm in the 3/4 range.

god...it was so bad that i feel nothing.....

i think i guessed on like half of the mc questions...fr... i left at least half of 3 questions blank.....we actually DID the experiments in class before and i still couldn't remember. this is sad
r there any ppl who took the test before who can tell us what their scores were compared to how they thought they did after the test?

yea. repeating my question from before, will this be out of 160, and would i still need 50% (80 raw score) to get a 4 at least??

if i got a realli bad score on it...is it possible to have cb NOt sent that score to colleges? i'm confused....do we self-report our ap scores on college apps or do we have to request cb to sent an official one?

iono but my teacher told me about 50% was a five...hopefully it's true, but cc ppl in here have been tellin me 65% ..isn't that a little too high? compared wiht apush, which is about 65% and it's a much easier test

If the score is out of 160, that will benefit us as students. The percentages will most likely stay the same.

Predictions:
5 = 104-160
4 = 80-104
3 = 56-80
2 = 30-56

hmmm in 2004 (out of 180), it was MC x 1.2857 and FR x 1.125 for weighted ... what will it be for this year - out of 160-?

yanksman how will it benefit us? i dont understand that, but i really hope ur right! lol/.

Why would it be out of 160? Given those multiplying factors, it'd still be out of 180

i read somewhere that one of the parts will change from 90 to 80 starting 2005.... i dont know..

If they make the test out of 160, I am sure they will keep the percentages the same as if the test was out of 180.

65% = 5
50% = 4
35% = 3
20% = 2
1%= 1

I believe those will be the values for this test.

If the score went from 180 to 160 the scores would have changed in the following ways.

Previous: out of 180
110-180 = 5
80-110 = 4
50- 80 = 3
30-50 = 2
0-30 = 1

Now:
104-160 = 5
75-104 = 4
45- 75 = 3
20-45 = 2
0-20 = 1

Therefore you would need less points to get a higher grade. Note This is not official, I am just advancing on another persons post. I do not know what the curve is or even if the test is out of 160.

if i get around a 50 on the MC and around 55 on the FR, what will be my projected score?

haha...i didn't do 2 problems on the FR, but i think of the ones i answered i got most right.

Edit: Yansman, 110/180 is not 65%, it's like 61%...

thats prob a 5
mayb 4

My review book says AROUND 110/180 is a 5
