I thought the multiple choice was okay, and the FRQ all of them were easy cept for 5 and 6 for me >_<.

I got a question thats been bothering me… I had a brain fart and for an acc. and time graph I didn’t have a -y axis… so I put absolute value symbols next to the label for the y axis. Is that allowed? (I tried to keep this as general as possible).

Oh thank God other people thought it was harder than usual too! I felt reasonably confident going into the test with low 5’s on all my practice ones, and then the actual exam. I thought the MC just took a while. I had to think a lot of it through; it was more conceptual, like someone mentioned before me. For the FR, I’m pretty positive I got full points on #1 and the fluids one. I hated how focused it was on magnetism though I made up an answer for the last part to the one about the parallel plates in which you add a magnetic field halfway through haha…no idea and time was running out.

Hopefully there will be a bigger curve.

How many points do u think each part was for #2?

@Cheung, I had the SAME problem, for some reason I didn’t even think to start the graph at -3, -2, -1, 0, 1 ,2 etc… I just made them absolute values, I’m hoping they either don’t count off or it’s only 1-2 points :(

I actually think #5 was one of the easier ones. I blazed through 5 and 4, did either reallly good or really bad on #2 and #3, and decent on 1 and 6.

I hope the curve is generous.

What was no.2 again? Was that the one with the metal strips and coming up with an experiment or the one with the water tank? Anyways, I thought the MC was fine. It was definitely harder than the MC from other years, but I still didn’t think it was too hard. The FR was ok too, but I am pretty sure I messed up some of the questions. I am actually more worried that whoever is reading my exam won’t read my handwriting because there were like 2 questions I realized how to do in the last 10 minutes, so I had to rush them… I am hoping for a big curve because I will be really mad if I get a 4…

I thought 2 was really hard (spheres) and would be lucky to get 3 points on it. Everything else I think I missed at most 3 or 4 points per question…5 was complicated, but I think I got it. You can never tell with the one where you make an experiment. 4 and 1 were really easy, and 6 I was unfamiliar with the notation so probably got like a quarter or half of the points. MC I’d say about 50-55 right…that’s a 5 right?

For #2, there’s no electric field inside a conductor, but is there electric potential inside? I was going back and forth on that one for a while…I think I finally decided on no.

BTW, we’re not abiding by the “wait 48 hours until discussing” rule right? :P

Yeah this test was my worst AP, it was nothing like I expected
Multiple Choice: 30-40
FRQ 1 and 2 were good
3, 5 and 6 were just complete fails
And 4 was semi OK
If I get a 2, I seriously do not know what I’ll do…

FRQ was so hard!!!
i think MC was pretty easy though.
but FRQ killed me.

Was writing in pencil for the FRQ allowed?

Yeah, but the initials and stuff on the outside of the booklet had to be in pen.

I wonder… Is there anyone like me who started studying in like December, got way ahead… (Self-study) … Then didn’t study till 2 weeks before the test with like 10 chapters to go? …Yeeeahhh…

FRQ #2 was bad. I gave up by the final part and drew a lot of pictures on the diagram. Like, a lot of pictures.

That test was not fun.

Are these the right point values for FRQ?

1: 15
2: 15
3: 15
4: 10
5: 15
6: 10

Suppose you COMPLETELY get a lab question wrong, but your process was right (i.e. you used the materials you drew to draw the picture, used them in your explanations, etc.) Do you receive partial credit, or is it just going to be a big 0?

Please let me get a 3

This was my worst AP exam by far. I’m taking several others and had no time to go back and meticulously relearn some of the stuff. It’s a shame because I had almost perfect 100s for each grading period in this class and knew the material when we learned it.
