OK, I want to know if I am prepared to take AP Physics B without taking Physics Honors first. I'll be taking the class junior year and I'll be in Pre-Calc Honors by then. Math isn't my best subject, but I still do fine. IS Pre-calc enough? Thanks!

Just know your Trigonometry.

I’ve never taken trig. All I know is Sin, Cos, and Tag

I think that’s sufficient for Physics B.

ok, the teacher is nice and smart, but he can’t teach and Im worried about that. Do you think that if I just do the work and study i’ll be fine? Is physics more of memorization or thinking?

Physics in general is more thinking than memorizing.

AP Physics is different–especially for FRQs. The questions that are asked are very similar from year to year. For this year’s exam, I had done previous FRQs that were pretty much the same thing, just with different numbers in a similar (but slightly different) situation. So, if you work hard, you’ll do just fine.

agree with jerry here
know you trig (application)

most of my ap physics b class this year took honors pre-calc at the same time. it was their first time taking physics. when we took a mock ap exam in april as our final exam, our average was a 4. so if our class is any indication, i think you’re good to go.
