AP Physics B

So I'm in my junior year and I want to self-study Physics B so I can do well on Physics C next year. I don't need to take the exam if I don't feel I'm ready but I want to get as much experience with Physics as possible. The reason I didn't take Physics H this year was because I am taking Chemistry AP.

This is my first time self-studying an AP. How should I go about doing this? I'm thinking about getting Physics: Principles with Applications 5th edition from Giancoli because I heard Giancoli was a good book for physics and its 5 bucks so I won't be wasting as much money if I'm not prepared in May.

So do I just read the textbook and do problems? I wanted to follow the online course on HippoCampus but the page numbers don't match up so I'm stuck on my own.

Just read through the textbook on your own, and study the topics the collegeboard says will be on the exam.

That site has most of the info about the actual test you'll need.

Find out who the AP coordinator at your school is and just ask them how it works if you want to take an exam on your own.

After you're finished with the textbook, I recommend getting a prep book. Princeton Review is making a book especially for physics b that comes out february i think, and that's what I'm getting. I'm in the same boat as you.

Good luck!
