Hi guys. I am a sophomore taking four APs. European, Calc BC, and 2 Physics Test.
Because I have so much to prepare for, I was wondering if not taking the E&M portion of the Physics C AP is a good idea.
I spoke to my college counselor about this and she says that taking a AP course and not taking the corresponding AP test will hurt my chances when I apply for college.
I don't know what to do!

You can (a) take it and see how you do. If you were in the class, you should have a fairly good understanding of the material already. Remember that you need just roughly 50% correct on the E&M exam to get a 5. Or, (b), you can take the exam next year instead if you feel that’s better, but that would probably end up being more difficult if you haven’t touched E&M in a year.
