Ap Physics Mechanics 5/12/08

What did you guys think? i thought the multiple choice was so easy and the free response was death. discuss it here folks

::in tears:: both sucked...whats the lowest anyone has seen the curve go to get a 4 or 5?

Both were hard I have to say. Esp the first FR I blanked on it!!!

MC = somewhat easy, FRQ = okay except I completely messed up on the last one.

i found the mc pretty easy and the frq were average overall. the first frq didnt happen at all, the second one i got the latter half of it, and i pwned the third part.
i wish i could say the same for electricity and magnetism :(

Multiple choice medium difficult. FRQ extremely difficult.

oh man, the entire test was unbelievably difficult! there was a lot of emphasis on material that my class didn't go over, mostly with things like light.

the FRQ was definitely harder than MC in my opinion

what percentage usually gets a 3? haha, i just want to pass!

MC- ok

FRQ- wow....death...

is about half on the FRQ a five?

wow, that was maybe one of the hardest exams ive ever taken...All i can remember is like the first 30 mc, and the rest is all a blur...For the FRQ i thought that the first one was shmeasy, and then after that one...I once again just blanked. Around what do we need to get on each part to guarantee a 3 or above?

Wow, I utterly failed. I thought every single part was hard, both mechanics and E and M. And I thought I knew my stuff on mechanics... damn. I guess I'll need to take it again in college. But the ****tiest part of it all is that I want to engineering and if I find this hard, college is going to be hell.

Mc for Magnetism was ****ing hard/

I nearly came up and punched everyone on my way to the front of the auditorium ( we did the test in there), just to scream.

well i thought this test was really pretty difficult!
for one of the questions i wrote a letter that said something like:
dear collegeboard reader,
my physics teacher is a genius no doubt, but forgot to teach us some things, this being one of those things. because i'm an eager student and hope to capitalize on my education, i'll give it a shot:
THIS IS SPARTA!

i put a line through it, though, so it wouldn't be counted. (it won't be, right?!)

but yeah, overall, a tricky test. hopefully the curve will be high! :)

the hardest part about the MC was just doing it in the time limit. FR wasn't that bad, but I think I made a lot of silly mistakes (aka separation of variables). I hope I can pull off a four...
What's the lowest percentage for a four?

I was completely shocked at how much easier it was than the Princeton Review book. I'm not saying I did well: I actually did rather awfully (independent study is tough to stick to, especially with the huge workload senior year unexpectedly gave me). But I was surprised that it was easier than I expected.

My prediction: 3 on Mech, 1 on E&M :). But with studying I think the tests are not that hard to both get 5s on, it's just a matter of making sure you do study everything.

got raped by both

Thought the mech MC wasn't too bad, the FRQ was impossible.

The MC for E/M was pretty tough, FRQ, prob got 2/3 (messed up on the last one. Used the wrong equation...) -_-.

Overall, looking for 2 4's at least, if not a 5 on one of em'.

It's out of 90 per test, With a 49 u can get a 5.

yeah....what equation did you use....i used biot savart law....anyone can second that?

MC was pretty easy for both.

FRQ was okay for mechanics except for that last one. For E&M, it was death.

And yes, u had to use biot savart.

i thought the mechanics multiple choice were annoying but i thought the frqs was easy.... hmmm

wow speed. I thought the E/M frq were easier than the mech frq.

O well.
