I am planning on taking ap biology, ap calc bc, ap english lit, and ap psych within the same year for senior year. Do you think it would be a good idea to take ap physics mechanics as well? or is that too stressful? I am planning to be a pharmacist and my course selections are due tomorrow so please let me know soon. If i do not take ap physics i will take accel physics instead to fill up my schedule.
Hi! AP Physics C: Mechanics might be a little bit tricky if you’re taking it concurrently with AP Calc BC. That said, its a very rewarding course, and will definitely change the way you view many things. But if you want to want to be a pharmacist, I’m not sure if AP Physics C: Mechanics would be particularly helpful; but since the alternative would be another physics course, you could just go ahead. The course itself isn’t too stressful, and the exam isn’t that stressful either (it has a really generous curve).
Since the alternative is an accelerated physics class, I would recommend going ahead and taking AP Physics, as it will definitely complement BC, although you will probably have to work pretty hard first quarter. If you don’t have too much stress from EC’s during the first semester, I would definitely recommend taking it. Good luck!
