AP physics vs Honors. Please Answer!

Okay so I’ve had mostly Bs this year in Chemistry honors, and because of this, my chemistry teacher and the science department chair at my school think I shouldn’t be allowed in AP Physics, and want me in Honors Physics.

However, I honestly attribute my B chemistry grades to the teacher, because I did not understand her very disorganized teaching style (She’s like 70, doesn’t do notes, rather just hands out pages and pages of worksheets each class, and dictates random stuff, and barely writes it down. I can’t learn like this )
My grades in this teacher’s class are lower than those in my other classes/ past science classes.

I want to be in AP Physics because my similar-GPA-range peers will be in that class.
Most of them were in a different honors chem class this year with an ACTUAL teacher, I was in Honors chem with this dumb teacher because of scheduling.
Furthermore, my school is large and its not that hard to get into honors classes, so all these dumb kids end up in them. Im scared that I will end up in Honors Physics with a bunch of dumb kids, not interested in school, because all of my similar-intelligence level peers will be in AP Physics.then I fear I will lack academic support from peers similar to myself in Physics honors.

My guidance counselor is somewhat open to putting me in AP Physics, but the science peeps have say as well.
Please send advice on how I should address this.
Also, Will colleges appreciate AP Physics a lot more than Honors?

Obviously, colleges value AP Physics more than honors.

If you think you are cut out for AP, then go for AP. Just tell that to your science teachers, and if they disagree, then tough luck, you’re stuck with honors.

Maybe you could use your math level and math grades to argue your case, since physics is mainly math.

i will just say physics is TOUGH…I’d take the class with the best teacher and not worry so much about the peers. If AP has a great teacher with a solid reputation, go that route. If the Honors teacher is knows to be great, i’d do that and be a shining star in the class. Physics has been a REALLY challenging class for my otherwise really science/math oriented child. I don’t get why, but when I ask, I am told, It’s just really hard to solve some of the problems. I say, but you are WAY advanced in math, WHY?? And i get, it just IS
