Is it just me or is W&L's AP policy extremely strict? The only 4's that are permitted are for Romance Languages and Art History.

Also, I wanted to know about Calculus BC. If you get a 4 on Calc BC, are you not even granted a semester's credit for math? On W&L's website, information is given only for 5 (which is two semesters credit).

That seems reasonable compares to other private schools, especially the Ivies.

Call the dean of the math department and ask - or wait until you get to campus. Most schools give you one credit for a 4 on BC (as opposed to two for a 5) - I'm not sure if that is what W&L does.

Does this (http://registrar.wlu.edu/policies/ap.htm) mean that if I plan to be a Biology major at W&L, there is no point in taking the AP Biology exam on Monday? If I understand correctly, even if I get a 5, I will still have to take W&L's introductory Biology and will not be awarded any credits. I signed up for the exam a while ago before I knew which college I would be attending and am wondering whether or not it's worth this weekend's hardcore studying and 82 bucks.

Any logical reasoning would be appreciated.

You won't get any money back now anyway...

It means that the AP test cannot go towards fulfilling any requirements for the biology major - which you can find in the catalog which you can find on the registrar's website - registrar.wlu.edu.

you could get money back. You lose the 13 dollar deposit, but you can get the remaining 60 something dollars back
