Our AP psychology teacher is a table leader that scores the test. According to him, the best way to answer the FRQ, was to 1) Identify the term and underline it, 2) define the term (even if you got the definition wrong they can’t take mark you wrong unless you contradict your answer) and 3) most importantly, explain the application and example for the problem. He said it was best to keep everything neat and organized, because the last thing you want is for the scorer to consult the rubric and nitpick on points.
I didn’t think it was super easy either. It was easier than chem for sure, but I know for sure I got at least points off on free response total.
Ok…So barron’s did NOT help me…for the first time…There were about 10+ questions that Barron’s never decided to talk about…and I reviewed that big flippin’ book 3 times…What books did you guys use? More importantly…Do you think the curve will be “good”? I loved the FRQ for some reason… even though I never ever tried to answer one before …To be honest, I think I was still recovering from the trauma of APES (it ran late…had no break at all between the two exams) and I’m just being a ***** about it… Was the number of questions “normal” though?? They were less than I expected and I’m basing that on practice tests and past papers…
ANYWAYS…
May the curve ever be on our favour!
@ClamShack oh ok if you did them in order then your fine
Ok so I thought the exam was really easy and that I got a 5. However on the frqs I put a bullet point before each paragraph for each term that I defined and applied etc. Will I get an automatic 0 for this?
No; bullet points are fine. You’re graded on your answer to the question, not on how you constructed paragraphs.
Are you sure? Cause I’ve seen some sites that say otherwise while some say it’s fine. Has anyone ever used bullet points like this? What’d your score end up being? For example:
A) * answer in paragraph form
* answer
Yes, I used bullet points last year and scored a 5.
I used Barron’s and some cram packets I found online. There were a few questions that were hard and a few that weren’t mentioned in Barrons.I think my FRQ was good, if i did it right(it was my first time ever doing one!
Legit studied the night before and right before the test at school must’ve studied like 6 hours in total knew everything except for some oddball mc’s frq’s seemed hard but overall I know I aced them .
I’m nervous. The scores come out in a couple of days, and I am really hoping for a 5. (Even though my college will settle with a 4 or higher)
I got a 5! This is my first and only AP so this makes me happy. Even though psych gets the name “easiest ap” I am still happy with it.
I got a 5 too! I just have to say that for anyone looking to take this exam in the future, read Barron’s and TAKE NOTES. I thought that it was the perfect amount of information and it served as a good refresher since I took this class first semester.
Got a 4
Not too bad for studying it the morning before the test lol
Also got a 4
Had chem on the same day in the morning so I was half asleep thru the MC
Sunday night was a nightmare cuz i didnt know if i shud study for chem or psych, but I managed to get 4 on both of them! Im glad with my scores
I got a 5 too! However, I had an amazing teacher.
