AP Psychology

I have never taken an AP/Honors course before and I really want to get into NYU so I'm thinking of self studying for the AP Psychology exam. I actually want to learn the information anyway, I wanted to take the course this year but my counselor wouldn't let me since it was too late to change my schedule :(

Should I buy I use Barrons or Mc Graw Hill's 5 Steps to a 5: AP Psychology?

How much time should I put in so I'll be ready by May? I'm willing to pull all nighters, I don't care how long it takes.

You can definitely do it. In any AP Prep Book, it says the least amount of time you should wait to start studying is Spring Break, and we're not even there yet.
Since it would be your first time with an AP test, I would spend a lot of time using the practice tests, and maybe talking to other students or teachers that can give you hints for taking the test.

Plus, if your school has an AP coordinator, they should have booklets about AP and the components of each test + tips and tricks for test day (mostly the usual, eat breakfast, get a good night sleep, yadyada)

Everyone on here has suggested Barron's for psychology. Definitely try it if you are willing to pay for the test, and study for it too.
