I dunno, sparknotes said i was gonna get a 3 and on the real thing i got a 5.

llpitch:
ok you are a genius. i dont think i can memorize all that in 3 days!

AP Psych is a fairly easy subject to self-study.

I took it as a sophomore by self-studying it and I got a 4 with one night of studying. I just pulled an all-nighter the night before the test and read through all of Barron's. I didn't have enough time to take a practice test but the test wasn't too bad. I'm disappointed that I didn't get a 5 but a 4 isn't too bad, since I didn't do as much studying as I should have.

It is quite easy as long as you go about it the right way. I would choose Barron's for prep-it had everything you would need and the practice problems are along the same theme, but harder than the actual exam questions. I got a 5. If you have strong memorization skills you should have no problem at all, there are zero hard concepts.

For someone who is terrible at just plain, mindless memorization like Biology (sorry Bio people), but can apply concepts pretty well, would AP Psychology be easy to self study and do well on (>= 4 on AP test)?

Psych is a lot of memorization as well.

I would say psychology's memorization is a lot easier than that of biology because you can apply/relate much of it to yourself..

I just read Barron's the night before, took notes (since this is a very heavy recall-based test), and aced it.

I had no prior experience in psychology, but i bought princeton review and studied only 3 days before the test and got a 4.

I thought that i got a 5 because I thought that the test was very easy..but oh well

There's just an much, much lesser amount of memorization (I can't overstate this) for AP Psych than Bio, but it is still more geared towards memorization than application. You need to know the terms.

Thanks for all the info, I feel relieved to know that there isn't as much memorization with Psych as there is with Bio... memorizing terms isn't that bad for me, so it should be fine.

Thanks again!
