AP related question........

Son got a 5 in AP Calc BC - does he still have to take the Math Placement test?

On the USC website, where can we find his AP credits? Have sent the scores to them via college board. Just needed to check. Thanks.

log into oasis (link on my.usc.edu) and click on the stars report or transfer credit report

pretty sure everybody has to take the math placement test. like the post above me said, you can check the transfer credit report on OASIS.

Thanks, found it.

He took the test and got 39/40…should he go to Cal II or III?

my advice would be to go to calc3. all my engineering friends said that calc2 was the hardest out of the intro math series.

Thanks J!

Would he be allowed to go to Calc 3? Is that 225?

If your son is an engineering, physics, math, or another type of science major, it would be good for him to take Math 225 (Calc 3) as long as he thinks he is good with math. I think he could be ready considering that he got a 5 on Calc BC.

If he is Premed, then he would need to start at Math 125 (Calc 1).

Nhs, he is Computer Engineering. His AP Calc Bc teacher was actually tough. They did multi var calculus etc for the second semester.
