Has anyone ever had success with rescoring an AP test?

Yea, I would also like to know. What are my chances of getting my scores to be higher. I got a 2 on my AP-USH exam and a 3 on my Calc BC exam and I would like to re-score. I had more confidence on my AP-USH exam than my calc and yet I still got a 2 and I studied for both exams and I was very confident on my multiple choice. The FRQ’s were pretty hard, but I didn’t leave many blanks and I was very confident with my answers I put down. I have already gotten the paper and information for the re-score and am planning to send it today. The deadline is the end of october and apparently it takes a REALLY long time to get back the results. But is it really worth spending 30 bucks for a EACH re-score? Man, why does collegeboard love money so much? Help!

It’s not that they love money in this case… It’s more that they want to discourage people from asking for rescores…

@DigitalKing Oh, wow. But is it really worth re-scoring?

It’s unlikely, but not unheard of, to result in a score change.

Typically people who have gotten 2 or lower and thought they did much better come back with good results, everyone else not so much.

hopefully this is still active
Anyways I just received my AP scores today and for AP world history I received a 3 with complete shock and utter dismay. I received A’s throughout the year in a very difficult course and got a 7 or above on every essay. Most people had B’s in the course. I love history and am a humanities person, not a science person, On practice exams and the school wide mock AP exams, I easily scored 5’s without prior studying. After the AP exam I was confident I at least averaged 5’s on my essays (bare minimum) and I thought I knocked my dbq out of the park. When I saw my 3 I was absolutely in horror. Should I send in for a rescore? Or just blame my overconfidence in one subject that I actually enjoyed for overestimating my abilities.
@dogluvaaa if you really feel that you did better, and can afford the rescore money, maybe it would be beneficial in your case to ask for a re-score.
