I got a 790 on the chemistry SAT 2 and a 4 on the AP Chem test (bad day)... which one carries more weight in the admissions process? I'm basically asking whether SAT 2s are more important than AP tests

Colleges DO NOT look at AP scores. They are much more concerned with SAT I, SAT II, ACT, etc. Don't worry about an AP test score (A 4 on Chemistry is awesome by the way) with a 790 SAT II.

cool, can anyone confirm that?

Where did you hear that colleges do not look at AP scores?

they do look at ap scores. however, a good score can help you, but a bad one can't hurt. depends on which way you wanna look at it.

Everytime I talked to an admissions counselor. That's why the scores are self reported. It isn't an official part of the application process. By all means, put the 4, but don't lose sleep over the fact that it isn't a 5, because I guarentee the committee WILL NOT care
