Ap/sat/gpa

I got my AP scores and am a little down..
so far..
APUS-4
AP Lang& Comp-3
Physics B-2

Last year:
Euro-3

I was hoping for a 5 in us but ended up with a 4 :(
i wasn't expecting to pass english but i did...
I did Physics independent study and i really really wanted a 3..

My SAT score are 640 math 590 CR and 460 writing....
i know those are terrible but how can a rise my writing, i got an 8 on the essay but i just can't seem to do decent on the M/c.
Math is terrible i should bet approaching 700.
CR i think i did well on, thats a 100 pt increase from old verbal score (490).

My weighted GPA is 3.86
Unweighted is 3.5454

i have done 4 AP's and 2 honors thus far..... My Gpa would be higher if i didn't get C's in spanish....

i guess my question is am doing well enough to get in most UC's. I know Berekely is almost out of the question (but i can still dream), but what about the other ones.... is Davis and San Diego still in reach?

p.s Should i retake Physics B senior year again with independet study, i really want to pass that test.....

Thank the lord there's someone honest here.

Don't worry about it! There are still many UCs you have a solid shot at. Right now I would focus on raising your SATs a bit. If you can get up to about an 1800, you have a good shot at Davis, Irvine, and Santa Barbara depending on your extra curr. activities. Santa Cruz, Riverside, and Merced are even more within your reach.

Why don't you study for the SAT I during the summer? If you can raise that SAT I score up to 2100, I bet you would I have a good shot at any of the UCs. Also, don't forget to take 2 SAT IIs if you want to go to an UC.

PS: If you live in CA, you can definitely get into UCR.

You want to raise your SAT? You should spend your summer studying for it. If you need help you can search the board. If you can find an SAT class that's less than 100 bucks, by all means take it (if you have the money).

god my (former) friend had even lower scores than you (no offense) and he got into Irvine, which is a great school except if ur living like 10 min away from it :l. but then he started drinking, drugs, and eventually dropped out :D San Diego might be a reach. i remember my counselor telling us its in the ucla/berkely range. Davis/Irvine/and santa cruz (?) are the middle tier, and merced, riverside, and santa barbara are the last ones. if u have decent recs, good essay, ull get into a good school

umm am pretty sure now i can get into davis and perhaps SD.... my sister got into UCSB with 1140, she had a friend get into SD with a 1050.
I have a friend at Davis who got in with a 1150 and pretty much same scores as me but he got a 4 on euro i got 3... but he failed english and i passed.

am hoping for 700+ math 600 CR and 550 writing. Am reviewing US and Math for SAT II's. I want c.750 on US.

doing another 3 aps next year.... Envrio, Calc AB, Econ (Macro and Micro)

on E/c activites i dunno if this is much...
i have 3 years of swim, 2 years VP of French club (although i didn't take french), and 3 years of youth group leadership, and a summer catholic leadership program i got into in San Diego this summer. OH and am a Peer educator on Teen Violence but on by my country and school district..
