AP & SATII Score Correlation Survey

I'm sure it's been done elsewhere on this forum before, but I'd like to know wether people's AP scores correspond to a certain score range on the SATII, especially now that most of us have our SATII scores and are impatiently awaiting AP reports....

11% earn a 5 on the AP US, for instance. Within what range does that 11% score on the SAT?

It goes without saying of course that if you do well on one, you do well on the other, but is a 750+ indeed equal to a 5? If you have SAT and AP scores in the same subject, it'd be great if you could post them here for comparison....thanks :)

according to this, a 750 on US hist gets a 5 on the ap

i got a 610 on the world sat ii, but a 5 on the ap.. so, ..

ah...did you take them around the same time, with no issues?

i don't suppose this thread would be worth salvaging...............?

i took the ap in may and the sat ii in june

AP euro -->5
World SATii (big mistake, no additional prep)-->660

the world sat ii is so stupid, it has like a random picture of a statue of a half naked woman and it asks you where it was made. :|

CollegeBoard should publish stuff on this, because when you take an SAT II, there is a question before the SAT II asking if you took the corresponding AP class.

Also, for math IIC, it asks you which calculator you use, and what math you have learned.

Does anyone know if, and where, CB publishes this info and the correlations between scores and these factors?

well, I can offer limited data (USH AP is projected)

Chem: 780 / 5
USH: 780 / no way in hell I got a 5; probably a 4

sonar: a fluke? or did everything otherwise go as expected on the AP US?

i think the best we can do is look at percentiles :/ You're more likely to fall into a trap on the AP because it's just a more complicated test formatwise...i suppose

I must warn you, percentiles on the SAT lls and APs are not comparable because of different population taking the tests.
There's research into AP/PSAT correlation at this link.
