I got 3 on world history, 3 on Physics C electricity, 4 on Physics B, and 4 on Physics C Mechanics, and 5 on Calc BC

From College board:
AP Scholar with Distinction

Granted to students who receive an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.

I have 3 or higher on 5 exams!
and the average is: (3+3+4+4+5)/5=3.8!
but instead of getting a distinction award, i got a honor award!

Call them. I bet your world history score somehow got left out when they were figuring which award to give you. If you took the exams in different years, sometimes they don’t all get put on the same score report.

thank you! that relieves me so much!
i really want to get a national ap scholar after my junior year…
currently taking 6 aps but those 3s are going to hurt me.
should i take calc AB? i heard that if you actually take it
they’ll count it on the average although the subscore doesn’t

I wouldn’t bother to take the calculus AB test after already taking the calculus BC test, even to get an AP scholar award. That’s silly. Yes, scores of 3 hammer a person’s average score over all tests (but not as badly as scores of 2 or 1 do ), but it’s still possible to gain an AP national scholar award with the right numbers even with some previous scores of 3.

Good luck. The earlier replies cleared up your other question, right?
