I am a high school senior and have an average of a 4 on all of my AP tests and I qualify for one of the awards. When will we be notified about the awards? Also, should I list this award on my college applications even if I haven't received information from College Board?

Normally you would have it already. They are running later than usual this year because of changes in how APs are counted for the awards (basically, that half year exams are counted the same as full year exams). A couple of weeks ago I was told by someone at CB that it would be sometime in Nov.

should come out in late nov

Is it worth listing as an award? (like on the MIT application.... where I have no awards/honors...)

davidn08 , didnt u take phy c and get 5 on both parts?

and o yes, i have question, is ap national scholar as a grade 11 student noteworthy? i am the first one in canada, dont know how much that will help.

I think it would help...

"i am the first one in canada, dont know how much that will help."

whenever "first one in [insert nation here]" is a factor, I think it would be good to mention it... :D

Do I qualify for any awards?

After my junior yr:

European History: 5
U.S. History: 5
Human Geography: 5
English Lang/Comp: 4
World History: 4
Music Theory: 3

ap scholar with distinction i believe

a lot of people doing ea are putting ap scholar (pending) on their applications

Do I qualify for anything??

As a sophomore:
AP Spanish Language 5

As a junior:
AP Spanish Literature 4
AP Physics B 3
AP Calculus AB 4

My school offers 8 AP's only....

Do I qualify for anything?

Junior: AP Calculus AB (4), AP Physics B (3)
Sohpomore: AP World History (3)

does a 4 as a soph and 2 5s as a jr get me anything?????

that would be Ap Scholar

This may be useful to all you people wondering about AP Awards:

AP Scholar- grades of 3+ on 3+ exams

AP Scholar with Honor- avg. exam grade of 3.25+; grades of 3+ on 4+ exams

AP Scholar with Distinction- avg. exam grade of 3.5; grades of 3+ on 5+ exams

AP State Scholar- one male and one female student per state; has highest number of grades of 3+ and then highest avg. exam grade (at least a 3.5 is required)

National AP Scholar (U.S.)- avg. exam grade of 4+; grades of 4+ on 8+ exams

National AP Scholar (Canada)- avg. exam grade of 4+; grades of 4+ on 5+ exams

Are the tests you take for the AP awards cumulative (meaning, i.e. you took 2 exams soph, 3 junior, etc and have a total of 5 that Collegeboard looks at) or are they just awarded yearly?

P.S. Sorry for the bad wording; it's kinda hard to explain
