AP Scholar Awards

When does CollegeBoard confirm that you've won an award?

Also wondering about this question..
I should get a Distinction thing because I've taken 6 so far with an average of 4.5

Also, should or can this go under the Awards in your college application?

the fall after you take your tests, like october.

I included my AP awards in my college application last year, so I think you can include them if you want.

are the two physics C tests considered two tests or one test when it comes to the award
also do you think it would cause a problem (award-wise) if i got my score reports without last year's scores

^I think it's one, but check the College Board site to be sure.
And why wouldn't it include last year's scores? Did you put/not put your SS number? or did you recently move? My score, actually, were not on this year's report card. However, I called College Board and they combined the two - no problem.

As for the two Physics C tests.. I'm not sure if it's the same as the sub-scores with Calc BC and with Music Theory.. But I know for a fact that those sub-scores will not be counted as separate scores from their main parts when it comes to awards.

Physics C counts as two.

what if you take calc ab one year and then calc bc the next year? 2 tests or 1?

College Board sends out the AP certificates in mid-October, so most students will have them in hand before sending in college applications. If you are applying before then, you can put down “AP Scholar with Distinction (pending receipt from College Board)” or something similar, since the eligibility rules for each award level are very specific and if you have qualified, you get the award. There’s no subjectivity involved.

Both AP score reports and AP awards are cumulative and are based on all AP tests that you have taken, regardless of what year. So this year’s mailings will contain all of your tests from previous years as well.

Regardless of the question of awards, you still should get this sorted out ASAP with CB because it would be important after college applications that your AP scores are all in the same score report when it gets sent to the college you are matriculating at. It will just cause you more grief if you delay it and have to sort this out when you are about to go to college. Call CB - they're generally quite nice when it comes to these things.

does the calc subscore count as two tests or one? i got 5 on bc and ab subscore would that count?

Calc BC + AB sub is only one. Sorry.

What award is a:
