AP Scholar designation

Question about the designation of AP Scholar with Honor vs. Distinction. My daughter got her scores and was designated AP Scholar with Honor. She has taken 5 AP exams. She received one 4 and four 5’s.

Here is college board description. AP Scholar with Honors: Granted to students who received at least an average score of 3.25 on all exams taken, AND 3 or higher on 5 or more exams. AP Scholar with Distinction: Granted to students who receive an average of 3.5 on all AP exams taken, AND score of 3 or higher on five or more exams. Am I missing something? She should be AP Scholar with Distinction NO? Is this worthy of my attention. Will it matter on her college application? TIA.

The AP scholars can update a few days after scores are posted. Due to staggering of scores, a lower level award may post before being superceded by the higher award

And no, it’s not that meaningful for applications.

Sounds right, her APUSH score came later than her other scores. Thanks.

If she took one of them in Admin 3 or 4, give it time to update. D22 received her scores on the first day they were available, 7/21, and Scholar status appeared on the 28th, iirc.

Schools can see the tests you took and the scores you received, so the award label doesn’t add anything.
