AP scholar Question

can you get AP scholar (not with distinction) if you fail an Exam.
I got
5 Physics C mechanics
5 AP calc BC
4 Chem
1 AP french (epic fail)

will I qualify for AP scholar? just curious..

I’m 99.99% sure that you can get an AP scholar award. Just don’t quote me on it as I’m too lazy to bother looking it up at the moment.

no im sorry but you cant
im in the same boat

i was just confused because the college board website said this
and didnt really specify for on AP scholar…I was to lazy to cancel that French score lol.It doesnt really matter though, was just curious.

Granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams.[AP: Scholar Awards](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>Qualifying for an AP Scholar Award – AP Students | College Board)

With those scores…I’m sorry to say you cannot get one of the AP scholar awards. Why?

Your AP French score dropped the bomb. Better luck next time.

I don’t see why you can’t- according to the guidelines in the link that you gave, you are an AP Scholar since you have 3 3+ scores (2 5’s and a 4). You just don’t qualify for anything higher- like AP Scholar with Honor, etc.

Well, the average of your scores is “3 or higher” on 3 exams. So you’re good.

Yes, you qualify. You have a score of 3 or higher on 3 exams.

Yes you can since your average is high enough

The regular AP scholar doesn’t even require an average. It just requires 3 scores of 3+.

Correct. There’s harmless confusion with the qualifications of the with Honor & Distinction awards

OK, Thanks!
