AP Score Credits for UC

I took Calc 1 as AP during high school, and passed the exam with a 4. I understand that UCs don’t take APs into account when counting units for transfer (Lower-Div unit max is 70 for transfers).

2 years later (which is now), I decided to retake it at my CCC cause I wanted to review Calc before taking Calc 2 and Calc 3. Will those units count towards my transfer unit load, or will it drop since I already took the class and passed? I only ask because UCs have a policy regarding repeated courses, but I don’t know if that applies to APs…

Anything will help

Well, first the AP units count toward the minumum 60 semester units needed.

They will not count both Calc 1 course and AP. They say they choose the one most favorable to you. So I don’t know which they’ll choose (probably the course if you got a good grade, I assume), but you will only get credit for one.
