AP Scores: To send or not to send

Posting here to get multiple opinions. For highly selective, not Ivy but all others, what AP scores should be submitted? Many schools we are looking at do not require scores. So, do we send just the AP test that a 4 was scored on? Or send the 3 and the 4?

You self-report the scores, so you can easily pick and choose for eaxh place. Check their websites to find out which scores would get credit or placement. Those would be worth reporting.

And if they don’t give credit?

When you register for AP exam in senior year, just put down the school(s) you most likely would go to. Then you are done with that at no cost.

If your scores are too low for credit or placement, then you can self-report or not as you see fit.

Send score from senior AP exam would not affect admission at all as it comes out in the summer before college. It will include all previous score. That is all you need. Don’t waste money on it.

Right. But if they are too low for credit or placement, why would we submit them in college apps? Doesn’t that look bad?

@Living61 It does not need to submit AP scores for college application at all unless the school as for it (such as for home schooled student). One only need to submit the score when matriculated and it would not affect admission at all at that point.
