Should we report our AP scores through the College Board, or is it okay if we just list them on the Common App? I have a fairly long list of schools, and paying 15 bucks per school on top of application fees, reporting SAT scores, and all the financial aid stuff just seems ridiculous.

Are AP scores even a factor in admissions?

Most people only pay to send the scores after they pick a college. Self-reporting the scores is fine on the common app, unless a college specifically tells you something different.

Yes, I believe AP scores do factor into admissions decisions at most selective colleges. They not only want to see that you took difficult classes, but also that you did reasonably well in them.
