Should I send in my AP scores for admission?

I'm working on my UC app right now, and I'm debating whether to send in my AP scores. I already have high SATs and two subject tests in math and physics, both of which I did well on, but I also think I have really good scores on the AP tests I've taken last year. Would it make any difference in the admission process? And if so, is it worth the money to send the AP score reports?

Typically ap scores are self report until you are admitted when schools may want actual scores for class placement etc.

It’s fine to just self report your AP scores in the testing section of the application. No need to send score reports with the application.

Self-reporting is the way to go for several reasons:
(1) College’s allow it.
(2) It’s cheaper.
(3) The College Board DOES NOT send Official AP scores to admissions offices, but rather sends them to a college’s registrar’s office. And who knows what happens then? Some registrar’s offices I imagine might hold your scores waiting for you to matriculate; they may never make it to Admissions.

Okay, thanks everyone. I didn’t know that self-reporting had any weight without an official report to support it. I guess that solves the issue.
