AP scores...

Hello..

I'm now considering to transfer from top 40 univs since I feel that I'm unhappy
at a current school. I just have one question as to AP scores.

So.. I took several AP classes, took those tests and did pretty bad on them(not all of them) when i was in high school.

For the colleges that require high school transcripts, transcripts will obviously show that I took AP courses. I managed to get 5 on calculus BC and took Calculus 3(MVC) in college, but I don't want to send my AP scores since other scores are pretty bad...

Although colleges don't require AP test scores, is it going to do me harm if I don't send them to colleges?

bump… anyone? please?
and additionally… If AP score does not matter as much as SAT or SAT II, can I not list them on my common app?

For US colleges, AP scores are only really needed later on if you’re trying to get credits. Does that help?

Colleges aren’t interested in the Scores that you achieved on the AP Tests. They are more interested in how you did in the class and that you took the initiative to take the class. Unless you want to transfer IVY then it shouldn’t be a problem. The only time the would consider looking into your scores is after your accepted, to determine what credits you get. If you are seriously concerned there is a way to permanently delete a score from the collegeboard, and make it as if you never took the test. However, it costs like 10 dollars per test and could take up to 8 weeks to process.

Schools with a history of many AP offerings but whose students consistently score less than stellar call into question the rigor and quality of their AP Programs. One purported “elite” magnet school nearby boasted of its many AP offerings. But its students rarely scored above a 3 on any exams. Its AP English teacher wrote rec letters rife with grammar and spelling errors. My HYP alma mater grew to have a dim view of this school, sad for its students.
