Hi,
i did quite well on my AP exams and I am planning to apply to Columbia ED, I just discovered that if we want to send AP scores then we have to pay an extra fee for that.
Should I bother sending my scores? When I know I have to take the core classes at Columbia?
*I am talking about History and English (5s)
Thank you
You only need to self report your scores on your application, official score reports are sent after you get accepted and choose what school you’re going to so that your credits will transfer. There is no need to send score reports before then.
@soosoo948 Thank you for replying! So if I do get accepted, should I send the scores? I have heard that the school that I want to go to does not accept credits for core classes. Should I still spend money on sending?
Columbia does accept AP credit for some core classes, check their website for exact requirements. Also, if you are planning to any AP exams senior year, you could mark the school of your choice on your answer sheet then and send your scores for free. The College Board will send one free score report that includes all your scores, including those of previous years to the college of your choice. You only need to spend money if you want to send your scores to more than one school.
