Sorry if this is the wrong section but I had a question regarding AP testings.
Are AP Lang and AP Lit credits counted for the same thing? I’m looking mostly into UC schools and I heard that if you pass AP Lang with 4 or 5 then you don’t have to take the AP lit test since UC’s only take either lang or lit credits, not both.
I heard it’s the same as APUSH and AP Gov. If I already got a 4 on APUSH, can i not take the Gov test? I don’t know if they count for the same credit or not…

AP credit is up to the university. Some universities, including the UC’s, do not give credit for both AP Lang and AP Lit. Others do.
Some colleges limit the amount of history credit, but that is generally the USH, WH, and EH combo. Since credit for US Gov or Comp Gov is given by the poli sci/gov dept (which in almost all cases is separate from the history dept), taking APUSH generally will not impact credit for AP gov.
In most cases, AP policies are posted on the colleges’ websites, so always confirm with that.
