I’m currently a rising junior. I just checked my scores. Once again I was disappointed. Freshman year I took Human Geography and I failed receiving a 2. I also just received a 2 on Biology and a 3 on World History. I just don’t get why I’m doing so bad on these tests if I’m studying so hard for them and studying with friends who received 4s and 5s on each of these. Will these failing scores affect my admission into colleges? I really want to go to UF. Should I retake these exams again next year? How can I prevent this from happening again during my junior and senior year? Next year, I’ll be taking U.S. History, Psychology, Physics 1, English Language and Composition, and Environmental Science. Any tips or book recommendations for these classes? Thanks in advance.
No tips really beyond practice tests, lots and lots of practice tests. That is a very heavy AP schedule for Junior year. My DD’18 just did it (minus the Enviro Sci) perhaps, given your test history, you may want to scale back and only take the AP classes that you think you will excel in or are related to what you are thinking about majoring in college (which I know seems like a long way off). Also consider what your grade is in the actual class. DD’18 was a B+ ish student so no surprise that her test scores were a 4.
Thanks for the advice! I’ll definitely take that into consideration. May I ask what review books were used to achieve all 4s on all 4 AP Exams?
I’m going into my senior year. I took Ap us government + comparative government. I got 4’s on both of them, despite having C in both classes.
I used Barrons for comparative, princeton for us gov
good luck
Great job! Thank you!
