How do we send them? Do we just self report? Is there not a way of doing this through the CollegeBoard? Do some schools require an offical document and do some not? I'm a bit confused.

Most schools that ask for AP scores don't also ask for official documentation of them.

Yup, you can just write them in yourself.

im guessing they would verify later when you try to opt out of a class w. AP credit.

do common app schools ask for official documentation?

Nope. I don't know of a single school that requires official documentation. You can write them in in the additional info section or awards section if you've recieved an award for them.

I'm actually not sure which one would be more appropriate - additional info or awards? If I have an award, should I list the award and then the corresponding scores with it? If anyone who knows could answer, that would be great!

common app schools? why would they differ?

Antarius, I wanted to know if what Muraski defined as "most schools" encompassed the Common App colleges.

I've never heard of any school asking for an AP score report when you apply. But if you want credit/placement from your AP scores, you're going to have to submit an official score report once you decide where you're going (you should have decided by AP test time senior year, so you can take advantage of the 1 free score report CollegeBoard gives you)

By most schools, I mean I've never seen one that asked for official AP score documentation. There might be a few exceptions, so I assume 99% of common app schools don't require official documentation at the very least.
