AP Scores

Is it wise to add an AP score on an App that is a 2 (In a subject I have no intention of majoring in) or should I leave it off altogether? Which would look worse?

leave it offf

only submit 4s and 5s, usually

the thing is that I only have 4 APs, 2 are 5s and the other 2 are a 2 & 3. Wouldn't it hurt me also b/c I would have a lack of APs?

no, bc each high school is different

i would submit your fives. and then leave the other two blank. The colleges will wonder about the other 2 however,
but risk it. It's better to have them wonder about what u got on the other 2 (4, 3 or 2), than to TELL them u got a 3 and 2

so dont tell them and be smart
submit the 5s only
that's ur best decision

I thought colleges saw the scores no matter what?

You can withold AP scores.

Thats So Cool!

lol hey i got a 3 on my euro exam (which i took as a soph) so i think that it depends when u take the AP... so in that respect, maybe the person took those AP's early, and that explains the low grade

the 2 poor scores were senior year....

someone told me that for UC's, they like to see that you took the test and got a 2 versus not taking the test at all (which is what they would see if you withold the score or something or just not report it)

are you a transfer applicant or something? cuz i was gonna say lol we didn't take senior yr AP's yet

Wait..so you withold the scores right after you take the test? Do you still see what you made or is that their cue to just not grade it?

Just dont show them...

a 3 is not a bad score... it's passing. I would send it. I got a 2 on the US History exam (ugh) and I am retaking the test this year. I didn't sent the score to any colleges, and hopefully it will be a better score when whichever college I go to looks at it.

2 is good in some college...

Ohh okay..so it's your decision as to include the scores to the AP tests you took. See for the SAT..it's automatically seen or something, unless you cancel your scores right after you took the test--like the same day. And they don't grade it at all. I think. Argh I wish collegeboard would work right now so I could see for myself.
