I know that there is a section on the application that allows you to write down your scores for the AP exams, but is it best to send in your scores directly from the collegeboard? Does the admissions office even care if you send in your official AP exam grades before you're even admitted? I'm asking this because the application says that it's best to provide your scores for the AP examinations. Is it enough just to write it down on the application?

You don't need to send it until you decide to attend USC. You just need to list your AP tests and scores.

I just wrote it down on the app and faxed a hard copy of my scores with my SAT/ACT scores. Don't want to waste $15 on sending those when they probably won't affect admissions :)

For your SAT/ACT scores to be accepted by most colleges including USC, they need to be sent from the official organization that adminsters the tests--College Board & whomever does ACT.

The AP scores only need to be received for the school you will be attending to decide whether to give you credit for any courses & how much credit, as it varies among Us.
