Ap self-study books

Okay, well i bought some books for self-study and a lot of people recommended smartypants for APES but i noticed it was published in 2006. Is the information still relevant or should i buy PR instead?

Keep in mind I'm not using a textbook just strictly review books.

Also i would like some opinions on my book selection

US gov: REA crash course+ PR
comparative gov: Ethel woods 4th edition study book
psych: Barron's with CD
APES: Contemplating the above

^Good choices!

The infro in that thread here is probably still valid. I jsut recommend the same brand name, but just get the latest version. :)

I would have gone with AMSCO with Crash Course instead of PR, but I heard PR is fine.

Personally, I think AMSCO is A LOT better than PR, especially if you’re self-studying. PR’s review just seems too brief. Also, for AP Euro, I highly recommend Modern European History by Birdsall Viault. It’s comparable to AMSCO in length/format and was the main reason I got a 5.

Isnt AMSCO APUSH?
I’m self-studying gov

That’s correct ^ AMSCO is US History

Oops, my mistake. I saw “Crash Course” and immediately thought you were talking about APUSH. Sorry.
