AP Self Study

I take as many AP classes as I can in school and on FLVS (free online classes) but neither offer certain classes that I’m really interested in taking. I have begun to self study for one of these classes. Does anyone know how I can order these exams on my own (I know I will have to pay for them myself)? When I went to find information on college board about ordering exams it told me I needed special access to see that info, meaning I would have to be a counselor or a teacher.

Why would you want to order the exams?

My school would not be able to order it because I would not have taken the course in school or online.

I think your best bet is to see if other nearby high schools offer the test if your school doesn’t. Then register there if they do.

However, I don’t think you need to go that far. My kid self-studied for the AP Microeconomics and Maceoeconomics tests, even though the school offers the class only as an Honors Level. He asked the AP coordinator to order the tests and she did. (He bombed the tests today, $200 not well spent…)

Okay I think I’ll try that, thanks!

Actually, your school can order the exam. Whether they will for a course they do not offer is another story. Likewise, any nearby school may or may not order the exam for non-students. But an individual cannot order an exam.
