Thanx :)

Do u have any preliminary choices? Usu, it's Psych, Human Geo, APEuro, APstats...and some more ...........................

First make a list of interests. then ask to rank the level of difficulty. mention your strenghts and weaknesses. Once you pick the one you want to take, come back and ask again. Your question is too broad and general to be answered now. It would require uniting the "Best Prep Books" threads with the "Self study" ones, and the "which course is easiest/fits me best". It would be really hard.

I second the upper thread except the last sentence only! ;)

LOL! /;lkj;lasdf/

I want to do AP statistics self-study

so......any suggestions

DO NOT DO AP STAT SELF STUDY unless you have no choice, like no teacher/classroom. I did that and i actually took the class afterwards...unless you're a bright mathematician (i'm pretty good, no boasting) stat isn't the best class to self study. you just need a teacher who's been teaching ap stat for a long time to give you some nice notes. but if that's not an option, there is no reason not to self study. it's just you're missing out on some stuff....unless you use your book and online resources to you advantage. try stat and see if you can handle it. i would advise you to take some courses involve reading for self study. like psych.

AP Stat is VERY EASY to self study for. just use barrons book and maybe buy a used textbook on half.com
you can start learning in january and be set for a 5 in may. i started in april and am expecting a 5. :D
i also self studied for AP Physics C both parts. i think a solid background in physics B (score of 5, for instance) is necessary if you want to go solo in physics C (not to mention a thorough understanding of calc AB). get princeton review book and "Fundamentals of Physics" by Halliday, Resnick, and Walker. that textbook is a classic and has EVERYTHING you need in the first 2 years of college physics in it. go to collegeboard and check the topic outline to get a general idea of what chapters you need to learn. i started in late february and finished the last chapter in the last week of april, expecting double 5.

thanx on the advice, tongchen1226

and you too, bravura...however, i'm pretty sure i'll be able to handle it. but thanx anyway

check out my site: http://wanderinghero.tripod.com

it has book recommendations and websites for all APs
GOOD LUCK!
I'm self-studying Physics, Bio, World History and Economics and I'm using the notes off the websites and I'm borrowing books from my library.

self study ap gov, and maybe ap bio

thanx musikalgeak
