AP Stat-What Graphing Calculator to Use?

I have Casio FX-9860G that I bought for my Honors Algebra II class this past school year. I really like this calculator, it's really easy to do all the Algebra II stuff, plus the standard deviation, and the percentages stuff.

However, this coming fall I'll be taking AP Stat and Honors Pre-Calc. Now according to my Algebra II teacher, she recommends Texas Instrument, don't remember which one. She said it's much easier to graph, and do Stats.

So what calculator do you recommend? Should I just stick with my Casio?

get a TI - 83-84 +

89-Titanium, but you'll need to customize it a lot and make sure it has Stats/List Editor (a port from the 83). I made a little toolbar to make everything handy.

However, if you are a non-calculator nerd, I would suggest a TI-84

I like ti-84 better than ti-89 for stats. I think ti-84 is more user friendly for stats.

Yeah, it takes a lot of experience with the 89 to make it completely usable with Stats, especially when you use a textbook that is customized for the 83/84

ti-84= stats
ti-89=calc

I personally prefer the TI-89 Titanium over the TI-84+. If you want something easy to use though, I can tell you that the 84+ is easier.

If you're doing 84+ vs. 83+, go for the 84+ b/c there are a couple extra stats functions that are rather useful (don't remember the exact ones--I think there was another useful chi-squared one that the 83+ didn't have). I don't have an 89, so can't say much about that.

you dont need an 89, i did fine with a 83+ and my teacher taught the class using an 83

83+ has everything you need, you might need to delete some games tho, which kinda sucks because stats was really boring first semester :P

84 has extra chi squared fns as well as linear regression t-tests, which although hardly ever come up, can be a pain in the butt, like on this years stats test.
