AP State Scholar

How hard is it to get this?

"Granted to the one female and one male student in each U.S. state and the District of Columbia with grades of 3 or higher on the greatest number of exams (at least three exams), and then the highest average grade (at least 3.5) on all AP Exams taken."

Does anyone here know of how many APs, roughly, one would need to get this in a competitive state?

It depends on the state of course, but you'd probably need more than 20 AP's.

Holy beeping beep on a beeping sandwich... are graduates counted in this or something?

That's just my guess. I tried researching this before, but I couldn't find any exact numbers.

For Cali/Texas/New Jersey and the other competitive states its over 20.

For "lesser" states like Wyoming and stuff its probably only 5 or something.

over 20? holy crap. my school only offers 15 (NJ)

^Yeah, same here lol. (NY) And some of them are secondary language classes that I am not qualified to take >.< There are pretty crazy people out there...

I know that there is a school for the gifted in Florida that offers over 30 AP's.

If you start taking AP's early (freshman year), reaching 20+ wouldn't be that hard.

Plus, you can self-study.

well I guess you'd win if you took 10 AP's a year beginning with freshman year, if you wanted to get it for your College ap that is. After you submit your aps, theres no point in trying to get awards or anything anymore

The people who win State Scholar are the ones that Self Study 5+ a year.
