AP Statistics equivalent

I know for some AP courses, there are "equivalent" courses at Cal, for which only either credit (AP or class) will be taken. Calculus is an example, where one can earn credit for MATH 1A with the AP Calc AB exam, but taking the class results in a "cancellation" of the credits for the AP.

Is there such a thing for AP Statistics?

Under my degree audit, I received credit for the test, but if I take either Stats 20, 21, or 25 for the prerequisite for the economics major, will only either the AP score or the course count?

I ask this because Stats 20, 21, 25 have "Introduction to..." in them, and AP statistics is generally considered to be an introductory college-level statistics level.

Every major is different. The economics major does not allow the usage of AP Statistics to replace the prerequisite for the major. However, other majors such as Psychology that do accept AP Statistics do use it to waive requirements along the line of Stats 20 or Stats 21.

Probably only those majors that accept Statistics 2 for a requirement may accept AP statistics. In particular, the business administration and economics majors do not accept either Statistics 2 or AP statistics for their statistics requirements.
