My senior schedule currently is
AP Government
AP Economics
AP Literature and Composition
AP Calculus BC
AP Physics C
Band

I have the option of taking a free period and getting out of school at 2 or adding AP Statistics if there is room. I feel that this schedule already requires a lot of work but should I take AP Statistics anyway?

Hi, first post here on cc. Took stats as a sophomore and it was an easy A class. Taking as many AP’s as possible looks great so I’d say take stats. Besides it looks like you’re good at math seeing that you’re taking Calc BC so it will be an easy class.

As many APs as possible is definitely NOT a good thing, especially if it means losing your sanity… take your free period and enjoy the extra 45 (?) minutes you have a day. You will need it.

If you think you can handle another AP class go for it! Though I’ve heard AP Stats is one of the easier AP classes. But if you feel like your schedule already requires a lot of work take the free period, you don’t want to overwhelm yourself.

Everyone’s telling you one of these AP’s is easy, so by the end of the day you’ll have the illusion that ALL your classes are easy. We are all better at some classes than others, and since you’ll have AP’s in all the core classes, I don’t think you need to push the limit and kill yourself with another AP class. Even though AP US Gov and maybe AP Econ are easier than the others, they’re still AP’s and require reading. Besides, the others are hard and their workload will test your patience anyway. Good luck! I hope you get all A’s ;)

Are you kidding? You took band?! No, drop band, and take AP Stats and AP Chem so you can dual enroll in Harvard and Yale, become emperor of both schools, and pit the football teams against each other for your own amusement.
If I were you, I’d take the free period. 5 APs (Two of them, at least in my school, being notoriously difficult) are more than enough.
