I'm very worried about AP Stats. I'm going into my Junior year and my current schedule is:
American lit
APUSH
APES
AP Stats
Precalc
Academic Tutor

Is AP Stats a hard class? I'm not sure if it is and if so, then should I switch to something else because i'm taking Precalc already with 2 other AP's? Please help, thanks!

AP Stats is a joke in our school lol

You don’t need to take 2 math classes in one year for any reason other than interest *well, if you are accelerating and need a prereq). Where is your foreign language and your hard science? I’d worry about that more than an extra math elective. AP Stats was a very popular class at my kid’s prep school as the teacher was famous for making it a great class. Understanding stats is useful for all kinds of things, general knowledge as well as academics and any kind of business.

@BrownParent they are taking AP environmental science.

AP stats was a breeze; you shouldn’t have to worry about it.

Yeah, it was my best/easiest class. If you can do algebra and know how to write, you’re good.

@guineagirl96 he said hard science lol

On topic: AP Stats is relatively easy to learn and is useful in life. Definitely take it.

As long as you take the three basic chem, bio, and physics, it doesn’t matter what else you take since wise.

As an AP Stats and AP Calc teacher: AP Stats is not mathematically rigorous (so don’t have any fear about the level of algebra skills required, whereas AP Calc requires strong basic algebra skills). If you can read, write, and think clearly, then AP Stats is not difficult. In most high schools, it is the most useful and interesting math course offered. Beware, that the homework level can vary considerably from teacher to teacher–consult former students at your high school.
