AP stats discussion

thanks so much!

another question on chi square, when do you use chi CDF and PDF?..

if i’m not mistaken cdf for cumulative and pdf for single probability.

Can some1 help me with 2007 #8? let x rep random var whose distr is normal, w/ mean of 100 and sd of 10. which of the following is equivalent to P(x>115)

Answer is P(x<85)
need an explanation.

P(x>115) is 1.5 standard deviations and above. P(x<85) is 1.5 standard deviations and below. Since normal distribution, those values should be equivalent.

are there any online practice test that will give me a rough estimate of where i stand for the test tommorow?

if u haven’t taken it yet…

can someone explain why you cant do t-tests on proportions? just curious…

My teacher just told me to just always use z-tests on proportions. Never knew why lol.
But I trust him.

Hey. 2 questions: can u use ur calculator for the multiple choice?
do u get the formula sheet for the multiple choice and free response or just the free response?
QUICK! PLEASE! MY STUDYING DEPENDS ON THISIISISIS!!!

Does anyone else use the mnemonics PANIC and PHANTOMS when doing Confidence Intervals and Hypothesis Tests, respectively?

i haven’t ever heard of that before? what are they?
guptasaintx, yes calculator is fine, and yes formual sheet for both…except the frq has the z t tables…

Ugh. I’m freaking out.
BTW, the test proctor DOES have the right to clear your calculator programs and such, its just that they usually don’t know about it or even how to! :]

oh in binompdf…how do you know when to put the exact number or a number less for the third number…i always get confused on that…

thanks so much, that is really helpful

for a large SRS, l. 19-30 in state of CO as survyed, hat generalations of the following populations can the results of survey be safely generalized…
how come it is just 19-30 living in co, instead of ages 19-30 living in state of colorado who were in this survey?

I think its cause Confidence intervals are used to predict the mean for the population ( mean/proportion).

did anyone else find that test that miracleboy just gave on page 5 ridiculously easy?

i only got 3 wrong on that test, but on the other exams from recent years i usually get at least twice or three times as many wrong…

i know this is rather easy, but i can’t remember.how do you find the median of a graph/chart?..also, how do you find standard deviation when you don’t have the list of numbers…just numbers and %…

Guys i found the audit-
