AP Stats

Is AP Stats relatively easy to self-study? I love math and probability and the like have never been a problem for me. Would you recommend it?

I'm currently doing it online, its not that bad. If u like math it'll be fine

I've heard it's easy and this is coming from a kid who isn't very good at math and is struggling in precalc.

The math teacher who teaches stats told me it's really dry and boring though.

^^^ I heard the same thing from my brother who hated the class. I'm sure if you can do word problems you should be fine, but there really is no math you've taken that can REALLY prepare you for it. You could be good at Calc, but really bad at stats from what I hear.

Statistics requires three things
--Reasoning ability
--Ability to describe things precisely
--The motivation to keep up with the course

If you've got what it takes, by all means do it. It's a very good thing to know (for almost any discipline), and will radically change your perspective on the world.

Bump because I have the same question.
I have the option of taking AP prob and stats my senior year or Humanities.

Math is easy for and we've had statistics integrating into our math for 3 years.

So any self studiers succeed?

Statistic isn't like any of the math classes you've taken in your life. It's more of a English class.

How so? I really don't know much about it. However, one of my friends is taking it and he said it was all probability based...
